The Carter Fuel Systems program features unique innovation and solutions by offering premium fit, form, and function as well as exceptional vehicle coverage and exclusive problem-solving features. Various vehicles may use a pulse dampener (pulsator) mounted between the pump outlet and the supply base tube on the hanger. The function of this component is to flatten out pulses in the fuel delivery system caused by the opening and closing of the fuel injectors. It also serves to reduce noise within the system.
